Llwyndyrys Newsletter Autumn/Winter 2024
We have had a wonderful summer, even with the turbulent weather!
We have enjoyed vegetables from our own vegetable patch, especially an abundance of lettuces. Our chickens have been laying well and have become super friendly, following us on our walks, sitting on our laps and eating from our hands.
We have enjoyed a multitude of visitors, from the West Wales Morris Minor club, the ukulele band, local singers, the church of Zion to name but a few.
We have enjoyed all things food related from ice cream tasting to smoothie making as well as homemade Cowl and Pimm’s with strawberries and cream. Homemade lemonade and blackcurrant cordials using all the seasonal produce that has come our way.
Our Annual Fete was a huge success and was enjoyed by all as you can see from the pictures!
We have many events planned for Autumn and Winter with Cultural days, exploring foods and music from India, to a performance from The Sea Legs Puppet Theatre.
We have a new member of Llwyndyrys, she is Maisy and is a little Guinea pig, who enjoys lots of cuddles and lettuce!! She is a source of pure joy to all.
Yasmine has joined our Well Being Team here at Llwyndyrys. She is a qualified beautician, and has introduced us to some wonderful treatments that can be enjoyed by all the ladies and gentlemen.
We are looking forward to picking our apples from our orchard and making all things apple related, and of course Bonfire Night.
Pam our visiting hairdresser will be at Llwyndyrys every other Monday for hair appointments.
We are looking forward to a busy and enjoyable Autumn xxx
